France release squad list for Euro 2024 quarter-final clash with Portugal
Dayot Upamecano and Theo Hernandez return to the starting line-up
Paris - Didier Deschamps has named his squad for France's Euro 2024 quarter-final clash with Portugal. There are two changes from the side that beat Germany in the last 16, with Dayot Upamecano and Theo Hernandez replacing Ibrahima Konate and Lucas Hernandez.
Upamecano has recovered from the knock that kept him out of the Germany game, while Theo Hernandez is back in contention after serving a one-match suspension. The rest of the team is unchanged, with Mike Maignan starting in goal behind a back four of Jules Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba and Theo Hernandez. Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga and Adrien Rabiot make up the midfield, while Kylian Mbappé, Karim Benzema and Antoine Griezmann lead the line.
France will be hoping to continue their impressive form in the tournament, having won all three of their group games and then beating Germany in the last 16. They will face a tough test against Portugal, who are the reigning champions and have also won all of their games so far in the tournament. The match will be played at the Stade de France on Friday, July 7.
